Water! From Canadian border at Chief Mountain to East Glacier Park

8:14 am- 2 liters of water from the faucet at East Glacier Park lodge. (Then travel to Canadian border at Chief Mountain to begin hiking)
2:30 pm- filtered 1/2 liter from Gable Creek.
6:00pm- filtered 4.5 liters from snowmelt feeding Elizabeth lake.

6/18
8:00am- gave 1/2 liter of water to Swiss Miss.
2:30pm- filtered 1 liter from snowmelt running off the south side of Red Gap pass.
5:00pm- Steiner gave me 1 liter from a stream near Poia lake, and I filtered it.
5:30pm- Torrential downpour complete with thunder and lightning. I am soaking wet and so is my backpack.
11:30pm- collected 1 liter from a faucet at Swiftcurrent Motor Inn.

6/19
9:15am- 1 liter from faucet at motor inn.
2:25pm- intermittent rain until 6:00pm, when rather hellish thunderstorms, rain, and hail begin.
7:20pm-out of the rain.
8:35pm- 1 liter from faucet at St Mary’s lodge.

6/20- 2 liters from faucet at St Mary’s campground, 1/2 liter from town of St Mary.

6/21
8:35am- 1 liter from St Mary’s campground faucet.
4:00pm- 2 liters filtered from small stream feeding Red Eagle Lake, east side.

6/22
12:10- Forded Hudson Bay Creek. Just over knee deep and very fast.
2:40pm- filtered 1 liter from a small stream feeding Hudson Bay Creek.
6:30pm- filtered 1 liter from runoff off the south slope of Mt James.
8:30pm-Swiss Miss gave me 1 liter treated with bleach and Barrel Roll gave me 1/2 liter filtered from Atlantic Creek. Intermittent rain.
Today we crossed quite close to the Continental Divide at Triple Divide Pass. Water running off of Triple Divide Peak ( adjacent) goes to the Atlantic, Pacific, and Hudson Bay.

6/23
10:40am- 1 liter filtered from a small stream on the way up Pitamikan Pass.
3:30pm- 1 liter filtered from a small stream on the way down the other side.
6:15pm- 1 liter from Two Medicine campground spigot.

6/24
7:00am- 1 liter from Two Medicine campground.
1:30pm- 1/2 liter filtered from a stream.
6:18pm- 1/2 liter from faucet at Sears Motel (town of East Glacier).

6/25
3 1/2 liters from town of East Glacier.
